Lavender haze
Avery AtkinS
Rylee and I pushed through the dreary darkness and onto a mossy trail, hoping to watch the sunrise over Mawddach Estuary’s lush greenery. A pair of sheep slowly meandered to the top of the forested hills to our left. The overcast sky glowed a faint indigo as the chilly fog filled our lungs. Sunlight refracted through the thick clouds, casting an enchanting, dreamlike haze. The purple sky seeped into the rolling hills, as if we had stepped into a scene from Twilight. In the morning glow, it was just me, Rylee, the sheep, and the trance Wales had trapped us in.
